Gale L. Morris

Gale L. Morris, 78, of Cabot passed away Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born June 3, 1937, in Winfield Township, he was the son of John L. and Grace Campbell Morris.

Gale served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957.

He worked in the carpenter shop at Pullman Standard and later in the maintenance shop at Trinity Industries.

He was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church. He coached Saxonburg Little League in the 1960s and the Cabot United Methodist Church Softball in the 1970s. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, camping and spending time with family.

Surviving are his wife, Janet A. Reith Morris, who he married June 14, 1962; his son, Louis A. Morris of Cabot; his daughter, Audine Morris of Cabot; his brother, Howard “Butch” (Evelyn) Morris of Cabot; and Andy and Bill Freehling, who Gale considered grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Una Sub.

MORRIS — Friends of Gale L. Morris, who died Saturday, July 11, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cabot United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jason McQueen officiating.
