H. Allen Bupp

H. Allen Bupp, 70, of Harmony passed away Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 1, 1945, in Lancaster Township, he was the son of the late Harold Richard and Lililan (St. Clair) Bupp.

Allen was a 1964 graduate of Zelienople High School. In 1963, he became a member of the Northwest Pennsylvania Steam Engine and Old Equipment Association, where he served as a former board director. Allen was actively involved with the development and repurposing the land that is now the Portersville Steam Show. Allen will be most remembered for his sense of humor, knowledge of mechanics and the love he had for his family.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 50 years, Patricia “Pat” (Burr) Bupp, who he married April 8, 1965; three children, Matt Bupp of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Audra Schramm and her husband, Charles, of Harmony and Samantha Ward and her husband, Jeffrey, of Conway, S.C.; two sisters, Laura Bintrim of Harmony and Elaine Stickle of Cocoa, Fla.; his brother, Clair Bupp of Butler; his mother-in-law, Clara Burr of Zelienople; and 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his son, Harry Allen Bupp, Jr., who passed away Oct. 21, 2013, and his brother, Harold Richard Bupp Jr.

BUPP — The family of H. Allen Bupp, who died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, will welcome friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Andrew Shaffer, officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Allen's honor in support of the Northwest Pennsylvania Steam Engine & Old Equipment Association, Inc., 1517 Perry Hwy.
