Betty M. Stuckie

Betty M. Stuckie, 92, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born March 30, 1923, in Ellwood City, the daughter of the late Louis G. Wagner and Gladys (Shaffer) Wagner.

Betty was a member of Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler.

She retired in 1985 after 25 years of service with a ServiStar. She had previously worked at Wagner Printing.

She was a member and past president of VFW Post 249 Ladies Auxiliary and had been a past president of District 25 VFW Auxiliary. She had been a VFW representative to the VA Medical Center with over 5,000 hours of volunteer work.

Surviving are her daughters, Diann (Dennis) Morse of Slippery Rock and Marcia (Alan) Tompkins of Pikeville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, Denise Whetzel and Kandi Lu Snyder; one grandson, Robert L. Snyder; two great-granddaughters, Heidi Whetzel and Jessica Whetzel; two great grandsons, Jeremy Whetzel and Robert Snyder; her great-great-grandchildren, Jaidalyn and Azarhi; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd Stuckie, whom she married Aug. 14, 1940, and who died June 11, 2003; her daughter, Gail Snyder; and two brothers, Louis J. Wagner and Gerald Wagner.

STUCKIE — Friends of Betty M. Stuckie, who died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Gascoine officiating.
