Mary Bailie
Mary (Rendek) Bailie, 89, of Allegheny Township died Monday at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.
Born on Oct. 21, 1925, in Allegheny Township, she was the daughter of the late August and Celestina (Remsick Prekop) Rendek.
Before retiring in 1970, she was employed by the Alcoa Corp. as a laborer for 18 years.
Mrs. Bailie was a member of Christ The King Parish, Gilpin Township, a former member of St. Anne's Guild and the Catholic Daughters of America of the former St. Martha's Roman Catholic Church in Leechburg and a member of the Sokol Club in Leechburg. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her son, Joseph T. Bailie III (Erma) of Butler; her daughter, Janet Gelmini (Deno) of Hagerstown, Md.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph T. Bailie Jr. on Oct. 9, 1996; and her brother, Albert Rendek.
BAILIE — The friends of Mary (Rendek) Bailie, who died Monday, July 20, 2015, will be welcomed by her family from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, where parting prayers of transfer will be at 9:15 a.m. Friday.A Christian funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. at Christ The King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Township, with the Rev. James H. Loew, O.S.B., her pastor, officiating.
