Leroy Perry Jr.
Leroy “Butch” Perry Jr., 70, of Butler passed away at 4:50 a.m. Monday at Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born Aug. 9, 1944, in Grove City to the late Leroy Perry and Doris Lynn (Tishey) Perry.
Leroy was a 1962 graduate of Butler High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a crane operator in the Melt Shop at AK Steel until his retirement in 2006.
Leroy was a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Slippery Rock.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Gladys Perry, who he married Jan. 4, 1965; two brothers, Randall B. Perry and his wife, Kathy, of Prospect and William M. Perry and his wife, Deb, of Butler; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
PERRY — In accordance with the wishes of Leroy “Butch” Perry Jr., who died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, there will be no public visitation.A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the New Testament Baptist Church, 437 N. Duffy Road, Butler, with the Rev. David Bobbitt, pastor, officiating.Arrangements are being handled by theThompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
