Kathleen Forsythe

Kathleen A. Forsythe of Butler passed away Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born in Indianapolis, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Raymond Zeig and Alice (Burgard) Zeig. She was raised on the Burgards' family farm in Evans City before moving to Mars.

She graduated from Mars High School, then became a telephone operator for the North Pittsburgh Telephone Co., which started on Main Street in Mars. She then worked and retired from the Dravo Corp. She continued to work and again retired from MSA Corp. in Cranberry.

Kathleen was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and was an avid collector of Indian memorabilia. She loved reading Western novels and history books. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved growing and planting flowers and listening to country western music.

Surviving are her two daughters, Glenda Winkler and her husband, Paul, of Butler and Michele Susko of Valencia; two grandchildren, Tammy Moslak and her husband, Zac, of Harrisburg, and Janelle Emmanuel and her husband, T.J., of Valencia; three great-grandchildren, Katelyn Moslak of Harrisburg, and Cather Emmanuel and Reese Emmanuel, both of Valencia; and two sisters, Marian Schmocker and Loretta Rea, both of Fombell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Zeig of Mars.

FORSYTHE — Services for Kathleen A. Forsythe, who died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2015, were conducted privately for her family. Arrangements were by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E.
