Dolores Mincer Nelson
Dolores Mincer Nelson, 78, of Mars passed away Tuesday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.
Born May 26, 1937, in Callery, she was the daughter of the late Lewis G. and Francis M. Harris Mincer.
Dolores had been a clerk for Callery Credit Union.
She was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Pappas and her husband, Brian, of Evans City, and Shirley Govan and her husband, James, of Valencia; two sons, James Nelson and his wife, Margaret, of Clinton Township, and Donald Nelson and his wife, Jean, of Mars; her grandchildren, Kristy Nelson, Danielle Nelson, Rebecca Pappas, Faith Ann Govan, Chad Nelson, Sarah Pappas, Lindsay Nelson, Laura Pappas, Lukas Nelson, Hannah Govan and Jakub Nelson; her great-grandson, Joseph Donald; her sister, Carol McCandless and her husband, Bill, of Zelienople; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore A. “Duck” Nelson Jr., who she married June 22, 1957, and who died April 24, 2011; her sisters, A. Pauline Dunbar and Madeline and Anna Faye Mincer; and her brothers, Lewis Dean and Keith Mincer.
NELSON — Friends of Dolores Mincer Nelson, who died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, with the Rev. Dr. Peter deVries, pastor, officiating.The family will greet friends at a reception following the service in the social hall of the church.
