Norma Jean Werner

Norma Jean Werner, 85, of Butler passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler surrounded by her loving family.

Born Nov. 30, 1929, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late William and Elsie (Moser) Raybuck.

She was a homemaker who especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed collecting antiques, baking with her grandchildren and traveling throughout the country. She visited every state in the U.S.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian. She was a lifetime member of a Women's Card Club.

Surviving are her husband, Ervin R. Werner, who she married April 3, 1948; four daughters, Linda (Harry) O'Donnell of Chicora, Connie (Barry) Gannon, Cindy (Frank) Stefanik and Carol (Ron) Weitzel, all of Butler; four sons, Brian (Brenda) Werner of Chicora, Mark (Jan) Werner, Gerard (Colleen) Werner and Eric (Gen) Werner, all of Butler; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one brother, William (Marilyn) Raybuck of Butler; and one sister, Monalene (William) Werner of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

WERNER — Friends of Norma Jean Werner, who died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Saturday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road, Butler, with the Rev. James Murphy, pastor, officiating.
