Donald Josephs Sr.
Donald Josephs Sr., 82, of Butler passed away Saturday evening at his son's home in Harlansburg, Pa.
Born Oct. 22, 1932, in Butler, he was a son of the late Nicola E. Joseph and Sophie (Sams) Joseph.
He was the husband of Mary Ann (Valensky) Josephs, who he married Oct. 30, 1955. She died Dec. 2, 2012.
Mr. Josephs was a retired locomotive driver for the Armco Steel Plant in Butler. He was a member of St. Anthony's Antiochian Orthodox Church and had been an active member of the Butler Elks and the Butler Moose. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, liked traveling to Paris, enjoyed spending time with his coffee club buddies and mostly loved his late wife Mary Ann's cooking.
Surviving are his children, Norman C. (Brenda) Josephs of Harlansburg; Rick (Mary) Josephs of Butler, Donald Josephs Jr. of Sarver and Tina Lamaison of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Josephs-Cirillo and Diana Josephs, both of Butler; and numerous nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Josephs; one son, Nick Josephs; one grandson, Tommy Josephs; three sisters, Martha, Delores and Sylvia; one brother, Norman; and one son-in-law, Pierre Lamaison.
JOSEPHS — A viewing for Donald Josephs Sr., who died Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, will be conducted from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Devotion in the Mausoleum of Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler.Funeral services will then be at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Bogdan Bucur, pastor, officiating.Interment will follow at the Butler County Memorial Park.Arrangements by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
