William Warren “Bill” Morris
William Warren “Bill” Morris, 71, of Grove City, Liberty Township, Mercer County, passed away at 8:50 a.m. Sunday of natural causes at his home.
Bill was born May 3, 1944, in Butler, the son of Donald Angelo Colosimo and Margaret Johnston Colosimo.
He graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1962. He married Jean Carol Henry on June 8, 1990. They were active members of the North Liberty Presbyterian Church.
He was employed as a chipper by Cooper Bessemer Energy Services in Grove City, and he later worked as a driver for Guardian Photo's in Slippery Rock. In addition, he owned a car painting business called Bill's Auto Body and Tire Sales.
Bill loved spending time with his family and church friends and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, camping and being with his dog, Tucker.
He is survived by his son, William Mace Morris of Slippery Rock; his daughter, Machelle Irene “Shelly” Gardner of Emlenton; his sister, Sandra D. Wagner and her husband, George, of Slippery Rock; his brother, Harry Eugene “Gene” Morris of Slippery Rock; and four grandchildren, Louis Graydon “Grady” Morris, Sarah Marie Morris, Erica Machelle Jack and Emily Dawn Gardner; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah Rose Jack and Elizabeth Clara Morris.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, who passed away Nov. 1, 2014; his nephew, Cody Morris; and his niece, Gina Morris.
MORRIS — The family of William Warren “Bill” Morris, who died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Friday at the North Liberty Presbyterian Church, 209 N. Liberty-Plain Grove Road, Grove City.A memorial service will be observed by family and friends at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Robert G. McCreight of the church presiding.Memorial contributions may be given to the North Liberty Presbyterian Church for the Youth Mission Fund.Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, PA 16057.
