Robert D. Hagens

Robert D. Hagens, 71, of Wampum passed away Tuesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 29, 1943, in Pittsburgh.

Robert was a sprinkler fitter for Union Local 669, and he had served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Jessie Mae Purvis and Donald Thieleman of Mars; his sister, Virginia L. “Ginna” Myerchin and her husband, Steven, of Ft. Collins, Colo.; his brother, Michael Thieleman and his wife, Kim, of O'Fallon, Ill.,; his aunt, Marian Black of Downieville; his uncle, David Purvis and his wife, Bonnie, of Valencia; and many nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Hagens, who died on Sept. 16, 2013.

He wanted to be remembered as having tried to love everyone.

HAGENS — Arrangements for Robert D.
