Betty Lou Walker Moser
Betty Lou Walker Moser, 90, of the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler, formerly of Bruin, went to be with her beloved husband and her Lord on Sunday evening. Betty Lou passed away at the Butler Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born Aug. 18, 1925, in Bruin, she was the daughter of the late James Clarence and Sara Jane Kelly Walker.
Betty Lou graduated from the former Bruin High School in 1944. She later graduated from Butler Business School and began a career as a secretary with Central Electric in Parker. In her later years, she worked as a clerk at Myer's Grocery Store in Bruin and she spent many years working with the Bruin Voluntary Fire Department and making pies for their events. She was a lifelong member of the Martinsburg Church of Bruin.
Betty Lou was married to Donald E. Moser on Jan. 26, 1957, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1991.
Surviving are one daughter, Cheryl Dube of Butler; one son, Scott W. (Melina) Moser of Parker; three grandsons, Nathan and Ross Moser of Parker and Eric Skoczlas of South Carolina; one great-grandson, Laurence “Mac” Moser; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty Lou's greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.
MOSER — Friends of Betty Lou Moser, who died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne St., Parker.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Jake Adams, pastor of the Martinsburg Church of Bruin, officiating.
