Man arrested today for sexual assault on 14-year-old
MARION TWP — A Connoquenessing Township man was arrested today on charges he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl last year.
Tyler B. Fusaro-Podobensky, 21, was arrested on charges of statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person less than 16 years old. Police said the alleged assault occurred in November 2014 while Fusaro-Podobensky was staying with the victim’s family.
The victim told police he stayed with the family for a few days because he had no place to live, according to court documents.
The criminal complaint filed against Fusaro-Podobensky said the girl was in her bedroom one evening when Fusaro-Podobensky, who was 20 at the time, entered the room and asked her to have sex with him.
The victim told investigators she said no, but “he pretty much did it anyway,” documents said.
When interviewed by police in July, Fusaro-Podobensky confirmed that he lived with the family briefly and stated he had consensual sexual intercourse with the girl once.
Charges were filed against him on Oct. 19. He was arrested today and placed in Butler County Prison on $30,000 bail.
