Ronald Joseph Novosel
Ronald Joseph Novosel, 65, of Butler passed away Sept. 21.
He was born April 21, 1950, in Kane, Pa., the son of the late Joseph Novosel and Norma Hutchison Koza.
Ron was raised in McMurray, Pa., and was a 1968 graduate of Peters Township High school.
He was a veteran of the U.S Army, having served in Vietnam.
He worked for years as a self-employed carpet installer. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
Ron was known for his great sense of humor, his easygoing nature and his nonjudgmental attitude toward everyone who crossed his path. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for more than 20 years and dedicated his life to helping countless others overcome their struggles with addiction.
Surviving are his two sisters, Marian Vaught (Robert) of Nottingham, Pa., and Susan Koza of Lawrence, Pa.: two nephews, Casey Koza of Lawrence, Austin Vaught of Pittsburgh; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his companion, Judy Christy; his stepfather, Frank Koza; and his niece, Amelia Vaught.
NOVOSEL — Family and friends of Ronald Joseph Novosel, who died Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
