Garth E. Ferguson
Garth E. Ferguson, 61, of Jonestown, Pa., passed away Sunday at his home.
He was the husband of Linda D. Zellefrow Ferguson. On July 30, they celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary.
Born May 21, 1954, in Butler, he was the son of the late Edward L. and Lauretta Mae Walker Ferguson. Garth retired from the Army National Guard in 2014, with over 39 years of service. He had also served in the US Marines.
He was the president of the Jonestown Fish and Game Association, the commander of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, the chairman of the PA Association of Technicians, a life-member of the NRA and a HOG member. He enjoyed hunting and especially riding his Harley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Justin P. and his wife, Stacy, Ferguson of Jonestown, Pa.; his brothers, Edward L. Ferguson of Tower City, Pa., and Jason Barkand of Butler; his sister, Cheri Penrod of Butler; and his granddaughters, Cali and Nacole Chapin.
He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Edward Ferguson; and his brother, James Ferguson.
FERGUSON — The viewing for Garth E. Ferguson, who died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and before the service on Thursday at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Route 72 and Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown.The funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Interment with military honors will follow at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CVMA 22-5 P.O.
