Josephine G. Crifaci
Josephine G. Crifaci, 94, of Florida, formerly of Butler, passed away Sunday at the Hospice by the Sea in Pompano Beach, Fla.
Born May 11, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Antoinette (DiGrigorio) Ganci.
She retired in 1969 from the family franchised business, Pepsi Cola Distributors. She enjoyed playing Bingo, along with gardening. She also loved birds. She was patient and talented with her birds, and she taught them to talk, sing and even dance.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She would help anybody in need and was loved by all.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are her son, Michael Crifaci of Tamarac, Fla.; her daughter, Antoinette Crifaci of Harrisburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sister, Mary Sampogna of New York.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore Crifaci, who passed away Sept. 2, 1991; her daughter, Nicoletta Crifaci; and two brothers.
