Police hunt suspects in shooting at Slippery Rock apartments
SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — State police are investigating an attempted homicide shortly after midnight Sunday at an apartment complex near the Slippery Rock University campus.
Police are releasing few details about the shooting that happened outside The Grove apartments on Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township.
Investigators said three males got out of a vehicle about 12:30 a.m. and fired several rounds from at least two handguns at a car that was entering the off-campus apartment complex for SRU students.
No injuries were reported, according to a police news release. Police said they have no suspects or victims.
Criminal investigators at the barracks were not immediately available for comment this morning.
The new release described the suspects only as three black males. There was no description about their vehicle.
Police apparently also have little information about the alleged victims, who were in a gray Pontiac Grand Prix.
Investigators acknowledged they have not identified the suspects.
