[naviga:h3]Seneca Valley plans annual holiday event[/naviga:h3]

JACKSON TWP — The Seneca Valley School District is organizing its 18th annual Senior Holiday Event.

It will be at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at the high school.

This holiday program is for senior citizens in the district. It will have performances by the Seneca Valley Jazz Band, the String Ensemble and the Senior High School Madrigal Singers.

There will be a holiday meal that will be served for lunch in the cafeteria.

The event is free, but reservations are required. Call 724-452-6040 Ext. 0 by Dec. 11 to reserve a seat.

[naviga:h3]Talk to focus on 1953 Cranberry murder[/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Historical Society will host a talk Sunday about a murder from 1953 in the township.

The event will be at 2 p.m. at the municipal center. It will focus on the Storch murder more than six decades ago.

It is part of its speakers program on Murder and Loss in Cranberry Township.

Violet crimes have happened in the township and the society will talk about these crimes as part of its free speakers program.
