Ivan L. Brinker

Ivan L. Brinker, 91, of Cabot passed away Wednesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice.

Born Nov. 13, 1923, in Sligo, Pa., he was the son of Berten Jacob Brinker and Minnie Belle Myers.

Ivan had worked for Allegheny Ludlum as a shipper in the No. 2 finishing department, and he also was a TV repairman.

He had played violin, mandolin, banjo and guitar in many area bands. He loved watching sports, especially the Pirates.

Surviving are his children, Dean (Carol) Brinker of Cabot, David Brinker of Tarentum, Karen (Howard) Reith of Sarver, Diane Chiarenza of Harmony, Denise (Robert) Corbett of Sarver, Renee Hickey of Butler and Tara (Blair) Harvey of Cabot; his sister, Faye Hawk of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria (Freehling) Brinker, on Feb. 17, 2002; one son, Blaine Brinker; his brothers, Paul, Carl, Ray and Jay Brinker; and his sisters, Romaine and Lorena.

BRINKER — Friends of Ivan L. Brinker, who died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
