Paul Eugene Boben
Paul Eugene Boben, 85, of Slippery Rock passed away peacefully at 3:35 p.m. Thursday at Orchard Manor.
Paul was born April 9, 1930, in Claytonia, Butler County.
He was the son of the late John Boben and the late Pauline Jerman Boben.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Germany during the Korean War, 1951-1954.
Paul was a member of St. Peter's Parish in Slippery Rock.
He retired from Magnetics with 38 years of service.
Paul was a member of the Butler County Horseshoe League. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid golfer.
Paul is survived by his wife, F. Joan Hauser Boben, who he married Aug. 8, 1959; two sons, Paul Joseph Boben and his wife, Patrice L. Donnelly, of Columbia, Md., and Ronald John Boben and his wife, Marilouise “Mel” Michel, of Clarion; and two grandchildren, Marshall and Emily Powers.
Also surviving are two brothers, Harry (Helen) Boben of Butler and Kenneth “Mike” Boben of Zelienople; and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Edward and Donald Boben.
BOBEN — Friends of Paul Eugene Boben, who died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Parish in Slippery Rock with the Rev. Kevin Poecking officiating.
