Sherron Floyd

Sherron “Sherry” Moore Floyd, 59, of Prospect passed away Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born on Feb. 7, 1956, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Richard and Barbara (Huck) Moore.

Sherry was a faithful member of the United Methodist Church. She worked at the United Methodist Conference Center in Pittsburgh and the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

She was also an avid animal and dog lover. Above all, she was a loving wife and mother who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Carl M. Floyd, who she married on Dec. 31, 1984; her son, Logan Floyd; her mother, Barbara Moore; her brother, Jeff Moore of Cranberry Township; her sisters, Rebecca Linn and her companion Mark of Nederland, Colo., and Carole Kalmbach and her husband, Keith, of Harmony; and several nieces and nephews.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Richard Moore; her son, Clayton Floyd; and her sister, Rachel Ann Freund.

FLOYD — A celebration of life ceremony for Sherron “Sherry” Moore Floyd, who died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Eric Park officiating.Sherry will be laid to rest at Crown Hill Cemetery in Prospect.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.Arrangements were handled by the Boylan Funeral Home, Zelienople.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
