Kenneth G. Creese

Kenneth G. Creese, 90, of Penn Township died Friday afternoon at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born in Pine Township on May 19, 1925, he was the son of the late John and Eva Dambach Creese.

Ken was a retired road foreman for the state Department of Transportation in Butler.

He had been a member and elder at the Middlesex Presbyterian Church.

He had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Saxonburg and Penn Township VFWs.

He also had been active in the Democratic Party.

Surviving are his wife, Katharine Reno Creese, whom he married on June 17, 1949; two daughters, Margie A. Rhoades and her husband, Shane, of Evans City and Linda J. Schirra of Oil City; three sons, Kenneth G. Creese, Jr. of Strafford, Mo., David C. Creese and his wife, Heidi, of Wingdale, N.Y. and Richard W. Creese and his wife, Gayle of Atlanta, Ga.; his grandchildren, Heather, David, Kim, Jolene, Wes, Josh and Ally; his great grandchildren, Janell, Jonah, David, Thomas and Helena; two sisters, Evelyn Kline of Butler and Joan Bickish in North Carolina; a brother, John Creese of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mae Stepp and Betty Schuller.

CREESE — Friends of Kenneth G. Creese, who died Friday Nov. 20, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars.Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Nuerge, officiating.
