Edward J. Dietrich

Edward J. Dietrich, 94, of Mars died Sunday afternoon at Paramount Senior Living.

Born Aug. 7, 1921, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Henry John and Ida Hill Dietrich.

Eddie had been a railroad conductor for Conrail, where he worked for 44 years.

He had served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II with honors.

Surviving are his son, Gary E. Dietrich of Ronan, Mont.; his sister-in-law, Jeanne Utz and her husband, John, of Valencia; his nieces and nephews; and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Humes Dietrich, who he married Feb. 7, 1953, and who died June 16, 2007; and by his daughter-in-law, Mary Dietrich.

DIETRICH — Friends of Edward J. Dietrich, who died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
