Ethel C. Kradel
Ethel C. Kradel, 92, of Butler went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Sept. 6, 1923, in Connoquenessing Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry H. and Clara (Shiever) Sloan.
Mrs. Kradel, together with her late husband, Kenneth W. Kradel, were co-owners and operators of Kradel's Greenhouse from 1971 to 1992, when they retired.
She was a member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church, where she attended a woman's Bible study. She was active in the Butler Doll Club, the Mt. Chestnut Retirement Center and did extensive world traveling. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and reading.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Alice (Donald) Warnick of Butler; her son, Thomas S. (Patti) Ziminski of Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Marcia (Michael) Goehring of Butler, Michele Jurysta of Mars and Dennis (Tami) Warnick of Mesa, Ariz.; and four great-grandchildren, Matthew Goehring, Hallie Jurysta and Dalton and Trevor Warnick; her sisters, Ruth Spack of Renfrew, Mabel Giles of Meadville, Beryl (Edward) Gilliland of Evans City and Jean (Ernest) Oesterling of Meridian; her brothers, Robert Sloan of Meridian and Lawrence “Bud” Sloan of Prospect; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Kradel, who she married Jan. 28, 1958, and who died Feb. 1, 2006; her first husband, Stanley S. Ziminski, who died in 1948; her son, Ronald K. Kradel; three brothers, and two sisters.
KRADEL — The family of Ethel C. Kradel, who died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home And Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., Butler, with the Rev.
