Kenneth A. “Ken” Hickman

Kenneth A. “Ken” Hickman, 78, of Zelienople passed away Monday while in the comfort of his own home.

Born June 11, 1937, in Elkins, W.Va., he was the son of the late Audery and Helen (Manning) Hickman.

Ken was a family man, who was extremely compassionate and always put others first. He always had a smile on his face and knew how to crack a joke.

He enjoyed being a member of the Big Knob Volunteer Fire Department. His biggest goal in life was to steer young people in the right direction. Ken will always be remembered for taking the time and effort to do the little things that made you feel special.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Dorothy Hickman of Zelienople, who he married on June 23, 1973; his sons, Kenneth Craig Hickman of North Carolina, Robert (Becky) Hickman of Columbus, Ohio, and Ronnie Osborne of Zelienople; his grandchildren, Holly (Matthew) Cook and Kenny (Debbie) Hickman; his great-grandchildren, Kendra Hickman and Cameron Cook; his second mother, Nancy Hickman, and his stepbrother, David Myers, both of Seattle, Wash.

HICKMAN — The family of Kenneth A. “Ken” Hickman, who died Monday, Dec. 14, 2105, will welcome friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Ken will be laid to rest at the Osborne Cemetery in Kentucky.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Big Knob Volunteer Fire Department, 1229 PA-989, Rochester, PA 15074.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
