Man, 27, accused of lewd acts in cell
CRANBERRY TWP — A 27-year-old township man is in the Butler County Prison after allegedly harassing police officers while in their custody.
Levan Adkins is charged with felony harassment, criminal mischief, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after an alleged incident early Wednesday morning.
Adkins was arrested about 12:40 a.m. by township police outside a house on Sunset Circle, according to court records. He was allegedly intoxicated and causing a disturbance.
He was taken to the township police department and placed in a holding cell.
He then allegedly took off all his clothes and committed several lewd acts, including throwing his feces about the cell, in the presence of three officers. Police estimated that the cost of cleaning that up was $500.
Adkins, who has criminal mischief and theft charges pending from last year, was convicted of assault and stalking charges in 2012 and was sentenced to time in prison.
He is in the prison on $30,000 bail.
