NEW YORK — The beagle from Saxonburg owned by 17-year-old Chanel Lefever won Select Bitch in Monday’s beagle competition at the Westminster Kennel Club All Breed Dog Show.

This means the 18-month old dog was judged to be the second-nicest beagle in the breed competition.

“That’s really what we were hoping for,” Lefever said after the competition.

Lefever, a junior at Knoch High School, is in her third year of competition at the show.
