Mary A. Bleicher
Mary A. Bleicher, 82, of Butler passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday at her home.
Born Dec. 8, 1933, in Conneautville, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Edith (Foster) Austin.
She retired in 1990 from Erich Gumto's Greenhouse, where she worked in customer service.
She was a member of St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Meridian, St. Fidelis Sisters in Faith and a former member of Highfield Women's Auxiliary.
She enjoyed playing bingo, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and working in her flower beds.
Surviving are six children, Bonnie Gould of Butler, Ed (Donna) Bleicher of Butler, Lori (John) Braszo of Aspinwall, Bev (Gary) Karns Jr. of Butler, Tammy (Eric) Schultheis of Renfrew and Tom Bleicher and his companion, Rose Bergbigler, of Butler; nine grandchildren, Glennda and Wesley Gould, Ben (Jamie) Bleicher, Alexis (Josh) McNamara, Rachel (Chris) Tritch, Samantha Karns (Kim Sico), Shane Schultheis, Erica Schultheis and her fiance, Tim Lutz, and Lynsey Bleicher and her fiance, Travis Frenchak; six great-grandchildren, Trevor Wideman, Michael Garth, Brooke Tritch, Drew Tritch, Brady Bleicher and Henry McNamara; her sister, Sara Lozier of Ohio; her brother, James Austin of Conneautville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Bleicher, who passed away Sept. 13, 2015; her first husband, Edmund A. Reich, who died in 1957; and her brother, Art Austin.
BLEICHER — Friends of Mary A. Bleicher, who died Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, 125 Buttercup Road with the Rev. James Murphy, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Butler County Memorial Park.The bereavement committee of St. Fidelis Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home for a Parish prayer service.Memorial donations may be made to the V.N.A.
