CLAY TWP — A Butler man was shot Sunday in Clay Township, and state police are asking for help with the investigation.

According to a written statement by police, someone was shooting in a wooded area near Timbline Road between 3:45 and 4:15.

Tyrone Smith, who was in the area, was hit in the right upper arm. He was treated and released from the hospital, according to police.
