The Mercer Livestock Auction provided the following report on the March 18 auction.

Breeding Bulls, over 1,000 pounds, $190. to $230.; commercial bulls, heavy weights over 2,000 pounds, to 110. and heavy weights, 99. to 109.; Commercial and open cows, high grades, 80. to 88. and core sales, 70. to 83.; feeder steers, fancy, 205. to 230. and core sales, 165. to 200.; feeder bulls, fancy, 200. to 230., core sales, 160. to 195. and heavy, 135. to 165.; and brood cows, light- weight cows with calves, $1,050. to 1,385. and light-and-medium-weight cows, $1,000 to 1,300.

The auction provided the following report on Tuesday’s auction.

Heavy commercial bulls, super heavy, to $95.50, heavy weight, 103. to 106. and medium weight, 95. to 103.; commercial cows, exceptional cows, to 109., high grades, 80. to 84., core sales, 70. to 80., lower grades, 60. to 69. and poor grades, 50. to 59.; fed-colored steers, high choice, 140. to 141.50, choice, 133. to 138.50, selects, 120. to 130. and top pen average sales, 134.21; fed-colored heifers, high choice, 138.50 to 140., choice, 131. to 137. and selects, 120. to 127.50; fed Holsteins, choice, 110. to 119.; feeder cattle, 350 to 750 pounds, 150. to 172.50 and 750 to 1,050 pounds, 120. to 140.; calves, core sales, 200. to 270.; and light-weight brood cows, 1,000. to 1,200.

The next special feeder and breeder super sale will be April 15.
