Vivian M. McDevitt
Vivian M. McDevitt, 87, of Butler died Friday at the Shelbourne Personal Care Home.
Born July 31, 1928, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Ferd Lemmon and Fannie (Humes) Lemmon.
She was a homemaker, had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory and Dunn's Candy and was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
Surviving is her son, Donald McDevitt of Chicago, Ill.; her daughter, Christine (Wayne) Blank of Butler; four grandchildren, Thomas McDevitt, Emily McDevitt, Margaret (Dirk) Graham and Michelle Blank; and three sisters-in-law, Ruth Lemmon, Joan (Joe) Schrody and Lorraine McDevitt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. McDevitt, who she married Feb. 5, 1948, and who died Dec. 29, 2010; five brothers; and two sisters.
MCDEVITT — Friends of Vivian M. McDevitt, who died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
