Carmen Roman

Carmen Roman, 93, of Cranberry Township passed away Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry Place.

Born Nov. 30, 1922, in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Feliciano and Isabel (Gonzalez) Hernandez.

Carmen was a faithful member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry since 1955, where she was also a member of the Royal Court. She owned and operated a restaurant in Pittsburgh along with her late husband. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Carmen is survived by her son, Santos (Nancy) Ruiz of Zelienople; two stepdaughters, Gladys (Pat) Climo of Zelienople and Gloria (Donald) Andreozzi of Wexford; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her sister, Elvira Corvero of New York.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Roman, who died May 22, 1988; her son, Carlos Ruiz; two brothers; and five sisters.

ROMAN — Friends of Carmen Roman, who died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.She will be laid to rest at St. Alphonsus Mausoleum in Wexford.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Carmen's honor to St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Carmen's family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
