Rachel A. Collins

Rachel A. Collins, 90, of Mars, formerly of Richland Township, died Tuesday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born March 28, 1925, in Quebec City, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alazlea DeMour Matheson.

Rachel was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Community Church.

Surviving are two sons, Greg Collins (Carol) of Mars and R. Brent Collins (Rhonda) of Callery; one son-in-law, Tim Schulter of Butler; two grandchildren, David Collins of Mars and Rachel Noon (Patrick) of Bradenton, Fla.; three great grandchildren, Allison, Brianna and Michael Noon; and one brother, Bernard Matheson of Ottawa. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald H. Collins, who died March 23, 1988; one daughter, Donna Schulter; one grandson, Mark Collins; four brothers, William, John, Gordon and George Matheson; and two sisters, Alice Hay and Cecelia Moreland.

COLLINS — Friends of Rachel A. Collins, who died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
