Charles LeRoy “Chuck” Mesner
Charles LeRoy “Chuck” Mesner, Jr., 71 of Renfrew, passed away Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital emergency room.
He was born on May 10, 1944, in Queen Junction, Pa., a son of the late Charles LeRoy Mesner, Sr. and Erma Gertrude (Young) Mesner.
Mesner was a graduate of Butler High School and attended Adrian College in Michigan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Pine Island and the USS Towers during the Vietnam War.
Mesner was a Union Steamfitter and then was self-employed as owner of Mesner Service Company in Butler from 1979 until his retirement in 2000. He enjoyed fishing, carving, motorcycles and RC airplanes. Mesner trusted Christ as his Savior.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Ann Mesner who he married on April 8, 1964; his son, Steven C. Mesner, and his wife, Corinne V. Mesner, of Encino, Calif.; his daughter, Corinne L. Nickerson, and her husband, Mark D. Nickerson, of Renfrew; 10 grandchildren, Nathan Nickerson and his wife, Stephanie, Zachary Nickerson, Eli Nickerson, Rebecca Nickerson, Hannah Nickerson, Benjamin Nickerson, Jeremiah Nickerson, Lydia Nickerson, Sophia Mesner, and Ava Mesner; his brother, Byron Mesner of Michigan; his sister, Barbara Chinn and her husband, Arch, of North Carolina, and three nephews, Jason Mesner, Austin Mesner and Brian Chinn.
MESNER — Friends of Charles LeRoy “Chuck” Mesner, Jr., who died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David G.
