Butler woman, 32, accused of kissing 15-year-old girl
A Butler woman is accused of “making out” with a 15-year-old girl from Westmoreland County after driving the teen back to her home in the city.
State police said Kristi Lee Jameson, 32, took the girl and stayed with her for several days on two weekends earlier this year in Butler without the knowledge of the child’s parents.
Police on Thursday obtained an arrest warrant for Jameson, who is charged with two felony counts of interference with the custody of children and two misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors.
The girl last month told a Butler County Children and Youth Services caseworker she had previously known Jameson when she and the defendant in January arranged to meet, according to court documents.
Jameson picked up the teen in Westmoreland County and the two drove back to the woman’s home.
The girl told investigators that her parents believed she was spending the weekend at her grandmother’s house, documents said.
In truth, she told police, she and Jameson “made out” several times over the weekend. The girl described the contact as kissing but not “touching.”
She claimed the defendant “wanted to go further sexually,” but she did not.
The two met up in February for another weekend stay at Jameson’s house, police suspect, again without the girl’s parents knowing.
Police on April 19 interviewed Jameson, who acknowledged she took the girl without the consent of the child’s parents, documents said.
She also admitted having “made out” with the teen.
