Glenn Allen Scheck, 82, of Canton, Ohio, passed away March 19 following an extended illness.

Glenn was born April 3, 1933, in Butler.

He retired from the Timken Roller Bearing Co., where he was a machinist for 29 years.

Glenn served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He also served as captain for Edgefield Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 53 years, Laura “Ester” Houser Scheck; his sons, Jeff (Sheila) Scheck and Joe Scheck; his daughters, Michele and Bridget; his stepson, John (Sherry) Buckridge; his granddaughter, Melanie Buckridge; his grandson, Jeffrey Scheck; and his great-grandson, Thomas Backridge; and many nieces and nephews.

Glenn was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph and Curtis, and his sister, Helen, of Butler.
