Blackburn, Shanholtz
Sherri Lee Burkett Blackburn and Wade Gregory Shanholtz, both of Worthington, were united in marriage Aug. 29 at the Kittanning Country Club in Kittanning. The Rev. Donald Breghenti officiated. A reception followed at the Kittanning Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of John Burkett Sr. and the late Barbara Burkett of Chicora. Parents of the bridegroom are Hugh and Betty Bonner and the late William Shanholtz.
The maid of honor was Valerie Blackburn of Worthington and the matron of honor was Deana Nichols of Grove City. Bridesmaids included Carol Cain of Ocean City, Md., and Lorri Sheakley of Harrisville. Faith Burkett of Chicora was the junior bridesmaid.
The flower girls were Leah Zimmerman of Worthington, Rowan McClain of Worthington and Alivia Bowser of Adrian.
Performing the duties of best man was Jonathan Blackburn of Worthington. Groomsmen included Kevin Shanholtz of Worthington, Troy Burkett of Cranberry Township and Matthew Sheakley of Harrisville. Justin Burkett of Chicora was the junior groomsman.
The ring bearer was Curtis Bowser of Adrian.
The bride is a 1986 graduate of Butler High School. She graduated from the travel and tourism program of Sawyer School of Business in 1987.
The bridegroom graduated from Lenape Area Vocational Technical School in 1992 and from Triangle Technical School in 1994.
He is employed by Bradigan’s Inc. in Kittanning.
Following a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, and the Bahamas, the couple is making their home in Worthington.
