Eleanor A. Slee

Eleanor A. Slee, 98, of Butler passed away Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 21, 1917, in New Athens, Pa., a daughter of the late Hugh Rush and Zoe (Mortimer) Rush.

Mrs. Slee was a homemaker. She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America and the 1917 Teeners Club.

She is survived by one son, Samuel O. Slee and his wife, Mary, of Butler; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred J. Slee on May 13, 1995; one son; one daughter, Alice Mattace and her husband, Frank; one infant daughter; four sisters; and one brother.

SLEE — Friends of Eleanor A. Slee, who died Thursday, April, 21, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Ledford of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America officiating.Private burial will be at the Tidal Union Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Butler Blind Association., 322 N.
