Twila M. (Wetzel) Fink

Twila M. (Wetzel) Fink, 97, of Buffalo Township died Tuesday.

Born Jan. 22, 1919, in Freeport, she lived in the area all of her life.

She was a 1938 graduate of Winfield Township High School.

She worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge, during World War II as a press operator and later at Du-Co Ceramics in Saxonburg as a press operator.

She enjoyed baking, growing flowers, and gardening. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of Natrona Heights.

Surviving her are four sisters, Alda Barr, Violet R. Wetzel, Jean A. Wetzel and June A. (Nicholas) Golojuh; and her sister-in-law, Maxine Wetzel. Also surviving are nine nieces and 12 nephews, including Leroy H. Young.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Fink on Nov. 25, 1996; her parents, Edward C. and Edna M (Jahnig) Wetzel; her three brothers, Irving (Irk) Wetzel, Earl L. Wetzel and Wilfred (Bill) Wetzel; and her three sisters, Elizabeth M. Young, Delsie Montgomery and Leonice V. Cypher.

FINK — Friends of Twila M. Fink, who died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Barbara Ravenstahl officiating.
