Alameda history topic of programThe history of Alameda Park will be the subject of a talk by Bill May at 6:30 p.m. June 16 at Alameda Park’s Carousel Shelter, 184 Alameda Park Road.The site was an amusement park from 1901 to 1941 complete with a roller coaster and boating lake.May will present the history with a 60-minute slide show of rare photographs and video clips.The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor the event.
St. Gregory hosts annual lawn festZELIENOPLE — St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church will have its annual lawn festival from 7 to 11 p.m. June 23, 24 and 25 at 2 W. Beaver St.There will be nightly dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. A rummage sale will be from 4 to 9 p.m. June 23 and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 24 and 25.
