The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host events this week at Alameda Park in Butler Township.

Fitness in the Park Mondays will offer yoga at 5:45 p.m. and Zumba at 7 p.m. The sessions are rain or shine and held Mondays through August. Cancellations are announced on Facebook. For fee information, call 724-284-5383.

The free Family Summer Concert Series will feature “Washboard Tony” and Son at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Odd Fellows Gazebo.

The free Outdoor Discovery Series will offer “Alameda Park: Butler’s Disneyland” with Bill May at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Carousel Shelter.

Alameda Story Adventures for children 6 and younger is 11:30 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Rotary Shelter. This program is free and no registration is required.

The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will offer “Painting in the Park” from 6 to 8 p.m. June 22 at the Alameda Park office in Butler Township.

This is an introductory painting class for those 8 and older. The instructor is Sandra Maxwell.

Seniors for Safe Driving will host the following classes for those 55 and older:

Noon to 4 p.m. July 5, Butler Senior Center at Tanglewood, 10 Austin Ave., Lyndora

1 to 5 p.m. July 5, Tower Presbyterian Church, Grove City

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 11, Passavant Retirement Community

8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 15, Butler Memorial Hospital

Seniors completing the course will receive a 5 percent reduction in their auto insurance premiums for three years.
