Susan Mary (Tipton) Wack

Susan Mary (Tipton) Wack, 86, of Harmony, Lancaster Township, passed away Wednesday at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Jan. 2, 1930, in Clintonville, she was the daughter of the late William and Susan (Schneider) Tipton.

Mary was a registered nurse in Grove City for many years. She also was a real estate agent for Howard Hanna, Coldwell Banker and Agnes Nicholson Realty. Mary also drove a school bus for the Seneca Valley School District.

During her free time, she enjoyed cooking and baking. But above all, she will be most remembered as a quick-witted spirit with a strong faith. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons, Earl William Wack and his wife, Teresa, of Kittanning, Mark Douglas Wack of Slippery Rock and Wayde Clyde Wack and his wife, Jo, of Connoquenessing; five grandchildren, Corina Wack and her husband, Stephen Beatty, Crystal Dawn Wack, Wesley Wayde Wack, Earl William Wack Jr. and Sherry Lynn Doane and her husband, Cory; and four great-grandchildren, Trevor McMahon, Tyler McMahon, Hunter Black and Taijiah Visnesky.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Earl Wack, who she married March 24, 1956, and who died July 4, 2012; her brother, William Tipton; her sister, Elizabeth DeBence; and her husband, Jacob DeBence.
