Regis A. Houllion

Regis A. Houllion of New Bern, N.C., died Sunday surrounded by his loving family.

Regis, born July 2, 1933, was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Korean War.

He was a 1950 graduate of Butler High School and a graduate of the American Savings & Loan Institute.

Mr. Houllion was the former manager of the Friendship Federal Savings & Loan Association in Butler and later served as vice-president of the association in East Liberty. He was vice-president of the Vineyard Property Owners Association in New Bern, N.C. He was also the former owner of the Landmark Hotel in Chicora.

Mr. Houllion is survived by his wife, the former Martha Louise Gerwick, who he married Jan. 16, 1957; three children, Curtis Houllion (Gail) and his son, Clay, of Rochester, Mich., Craig Houllion of Butler and Brenda Houllion of New Bern, N.C.; two brothers, Eugene Houllion of Butler and Bernard Houllion of Punxsutawney, Pa.; and his sister, Phyllis Rikal of Butler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucian and Geraldine Houllion; his sister, Diane Wise; and his grandson, Grant Houllion.

HOULLION — A private memorial service for Regis A. Houllion, who died Sunday, May 22, 2016, will be conducted later.Arrangements are being handled by Pollock-Best Funerals and Cremations, New Bern, N.C.
