Pamela Susan “Sue” Hovis

Pamela Susan “Sue” Hovis, 60, of Butler passed away at 1:05 a.m. Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

She was born Dec. 8, 1955, in Butler to the late John Calvin Kay and Florence (Russell) Kay.

Sue was a graduate of Butler High School. She enjoyed animals, plants and dancing.

She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Leroy Hovis, whom she married Aug. 13, 2001; two sons, Michael Kay and his wife, Megan, of Saxonburg and Ian Gamble and his wife, Ashley, of Butler; 10 grandchildren, Jimmy Francis, Nicholas Gamble, Kamrin Gamble, Macey Gamble, Cohen Gamble, Lennon Haunty, Ashley Blake, Jordon Gamble, Kaidyn Kay and Lincoln Gamble; three brothers, John Kay and his wife, Cathleen, of Harrisville, David Kay and his wife, JoAnne, of Williamsport, Pa., and Thomas Kay and his wife, Val, of Harrisville; one sister, Kathy Kay of Harrisville; three nieces and seven nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Gamble III, and one sister, Becky Kay.

HOVIS — Friends of Pamela Susan “Sue” Hovis, who died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, Friday.A memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Wagner, pastor of Hannahstown Road Baptist Church in Cabot, officiating. Private burial will take place at the Harmony Cemetery in Harrisville.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are thankfully accepted to the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home for burial expenses and accrued medical costs.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
