Barbara J. Andrews

Barbara J. Andrews, 66, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 18, 1949, in Butler, she was the daughter of Chester Asplin and Janet (Barnhart) Asplin.

She worked as an attendance secretary for Knoch High School, retiring after 25 years. Barbara was a member of the Summit Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Monday Night Women's Group and the library and flower committees.

She was very proud that she received her associate degree from Butler County Community College while working. Barbara loved bottle feeding her orphan lambs on her farm.

She is survived by her husband, LeRoy Andrews, who she married Jan. 5, 1971; her parents of Butler; her sons, Christopher (Melissa) Andrews of Memphis, Tenn., and David (Kimberly) Andrews of Butler; four grandchildren, Cassidy, Molly, Delaney and Eli Andrews; her sisters, Carol (Richard) Achezinski-Solak of Evans City and Karen (William) Cranmer of Butler; her brother-in-law, Richard (Dawn) Andrews of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, LeRoy and Jane Andrews.

ANDREWS — Friends of Barbara J. Andrews, who died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom R. Jones officiating.Memorial donations may be made to the Summit Presbyterian Church Library Fund, 181 Caldwell Drive, Butler, PA 16002.
