Clyde W. “Brownie” Jordan

Clyde W. “Brownie” Jordan, 93, of Elizabethtown, Pa., passed away June 2 at Masonic Village.

He had lived in Butler most of his life.

Born in East Brady, he was the son of the late Ivor C. and Nancy E. (Reep) Jordan. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 70 years, Eva Gail (Simpson) Jordan.

Brownie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 116th SRI Company, and had served in Europe during World War II.

He worked as a blacksmith for Armco Steel in Butler retiring in 1983 after 37 years. 

He was a Mason of the New Castle Consistory, Syria Shrine Pittsburgh for 70 years. He enjoyed boating and camping and had traveled to many states. He loved nice cars and trucks and had owned many over the years.

In addition to his wife, Brownie is survived by three sons, Robert Jordan (Marsha) of Butler, Kirk Jordan (Mary) of Zelienople and Paul Jordan (Patti) of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one infant sister and one infant granddaughter.

JORDAN — Services for Clyde W. “Brownie” Jordan, who died Thursday, June 2, 2016, will be private and at the family's convenience.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown and mailed to Masonic Villages, Office of Gift Planning, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N.
