Netflix series has roles for extras
PITTSBURGH — The Netflix original series “Mindhunter” is looking for people to be extras.
According to backstage.com, the series, set in the 1970s, requires background roles including but not limited to prisoners, hippies, students, lawyers, FBI, secretaries, stenographers, maintenance men, and police officers of all ethnicities.
Shooting will be done in and around Pittsburgh, including in Butler, through December. The film crew will be in Butler on Sept. 10.
The job pays $65 per eight hours for regular background work, including time and a half and overtime, and $175 for use of appropriate pre-1980 vehicles.
It pays $150 to $200 per 12 hours for featured background work, and photo doubles work pays $200 per 12 hours. Being a stand-in pays $150 per 12 hours.
