Anthony Boscarino

Anthony Boscarino, 90, of Rochester, N.Y., died July 19.

He was predeceased by his parents, Antoinette (Angelo) and Charles; his nephew, Charles Gornick; his brother, Paul; and his brothers-in-law, Henry “Windy” Winwood and Anthony Gornick.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Carmen) Verzillo; his sisters, Nettie (Gornick) and Rose (Winwood); his grandsons, Paul Verzillo and Michael Verzillo; his nieces, Rita (Gornick), Roseanne (Winwood); his nephews, Paul (Kelly) Boscarino, Robert Boscarino, Richard Winwood, John Gornick; and his great-nieces and great-nephews.

Anthony was honorably discharged from the 24th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army in 1946, where he served as a medical technician in the Philippine Islands. He was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic achievement.

Formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., he worked at Watson Manufacturing Co.

The family wants to thank all who provided him good care, especially while he was in Friendship 4 West at Monroe Community Hospital.

BOSCARINO — Private memorial services for Anthony Boscarino, who died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, will be conducted later in Rochester, N.Y., and Butler with family and friends.
