Lucille “Gooie” Carnahan
Lucille “Gooie” Carnahan, 91, of Saxonburg, formerly of Allegheny Township and West Leechburg, passed away Sunday at the Saxony Health Center.
Born July 10, 1925, in Sarah Furnace, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Gabud and Josephine (Ferris) Gabud.
Gooie was a homemaker. She enjoyed bowling and was in a bowling league. Gooie was a wonderful baker and made the best cookies and nut rolls. Gooie also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She loved ladybugs and the color purple. She will be forever remembered for her happy disposition.
Surviving are her brother, Thomas Gabud; her sisters, Helen Gombos, Marie Skinner, Kathy Hyser and Shirley Barlich; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Charles D. Carnahan, who passed away Nov. 7, 2011; her sons, Robert A. Carnahan and Wayne R. Carnahan; and her sister, Betty “Bessie” Mock.
CARNAHAN — Friends of Lucille “Gooie” Carnahan, who died Sunday, July 31, 2016, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Pawloski officiating. Interment will follow in Mt.
