Marcella E. “Sally” Coyle

Marcella E. “Sally” Coyle, 92, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away July 19.

She was born July 15, 1924, in Butler to the late Walter and Gertrude Eyth Osche.

Sally was a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.

She worked at the Castle Rubber Co., and during World War II, she worked as a welder at Dravo Navy Ship Yard. She later worked for many years at A.E. Troutman Department Store in Butler.

She was a Brownie Girl Scout leader and a lifetime member of the East Butler Fireman's Auxiliary, the Tanglewood Center and a member of the Danville Home Extension Group.

She married Harvey R. Coyle Jr. on Feb. 17, 1949, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two children, Michael (Val) Coyle and Patricia (Jim) Dunn; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Patricia (Paul) Bachman, Rose Marie (Jim) Zarnick and Ruth Raybuck; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers and three nephews.

COYLE — Funeral services for Marcella E. “Sally” Coyle, who died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, 210 Saint Wendelin Road, Butler.A remembrance will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church and a lunch will follow Mass.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Wendelin Catholic Church.
